Our commitment

Nordova is committed to improving the accessibility of this website so that more people can use it, whatever their abilities and whatever technology they browse with.

We treat accessibility as part of how the site is built rather than as a correction made afterwards. Semantic structure, keyboard operation, visible focus, readable contrast, and respect for a reduced-motion preference are considered as pages are designed and implemented.

Treating it that way is a working practice, not a guarantee. It does not by itself establish that any particular page is free of barriers.

The standard we are working towards

Nordova's target for this website is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

That is the standard we are working towards. It is not a statement that this website currently meets it, and it is not a claim of conformance, compliance, or certification. We have not carried out the testing that would be needed to support such a claim.

What we have not yet done

A full accessibility audit of this website has not yet been completed.

During development we check pages with automated tools and review them in a browser, including keyboard use, visible focus, reduced motion and narrow screen widths. These checks help us find problems early, but they are not an independent audit, and the site has not yet been tested systematically with screen readers or other assistive technologies.

Because of that, we cannot publish a complete list of the barriers that exist on this site. Barriers may be present that we have not yet identified, and some that we do become aware of may take time to resolve.

We will update this statement as we test more of the site and learn more about where it falls short.

Moving images

The image at the top of the home page moves gently. You can stop it with the Pause control, and it stays still if your device is set to reduce motion.

Reporting an accessibility barrier

If you encounter a barrier on this website, please tell us. Reports from the people using the site are one of the most reliable ways we find out what is not working.

It helps if you can say which page or feature was involved and describe what happened. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message.

How we respond

Reports are read by a person at Nordova. Where appropriate, we will reply by email to say what we intend to do next. We do not commit to a fixed timeframe for a reply or a fix.
